Project purpose and development scope
Development initiative for flexible multilayer pipes for oil and gas infrastructure. Corrosion resistance and ease of installation are design targets to be verified by testing.
Clarify the operating envelope, select composite materials and connectors, verify strength and tightness, and assess a pilot application. Industrial partners are sought for design, manufacturing, qualification and field use.
Project status
Prospective initiative. Prototype, testing and deployment milestones require documentary confirmation. All development stages are planned rather than completed.
Industrial cooperation
The Cluster is identifying suitable engineering, manufacturing, testing and industrial users. Proposals are submitted through the Cluster project cooperation form.
Areas of application and technical verification
Potential applications include wellfield connections, selected subsea lines and energy transport systems. Hydrogen service needs separate compatibility checks.
Planned stages and partnership
Planned work: define service envelope and pipe geometry; select materials and joints; test strength, leak-tightness and service life; agree a pilot; establish manufacturing controls.
Before launch, the Cluster seeks an industrial user, a pipe producer, composite-material developers and a qualification laboratory.
