Capabilities for Cluster members

  • Petrophysical interpretation of well logs and core in complex lithologies, including clastic, carbonate, low-permeability and fractured reservoirs.
  • 1D geomechanical modelling and pore-pressure prediction; drilling and well-test support for exploration and appraisal wells, including abnormal pressures.
  • Development and supervision of logging and core-analysis programmes; preparation of technical specifications and tenders for geological and geophysical services.
  • Audits of petrophysical models, assessment of geological risks and geoscience due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Custom software development for petrophysics, geomechanics, seismic exploration and geology in cooperation with partners.
  • Research and development in petrophysics, geomechanics and geophysics.

Professional experience

More than 20 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and field development across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, Russia and Mexico. Roles with Wintershall Dea (Germany, Norway, Russia and Mexico), Gazprom EP International (Algeria) and Baker Hughes (Russia).

Led petrophysics for an exploration project in Algeria, covering drilling and well tests under abnormal pressure conditions, core-study programmes, well-log supervision and geoscience tenders. Coordinated a multidisciplinary Achimov-formation project in Western Siberia and headed an interpretation team at Baker Hughes.

Experience in corporate project reviews, resource-estimate audits, geoscience M&A due diligence and 1D geomechanical modelling for a CO2 sequestration project.

Since 2025, independent consultant providing petrophysical studies, technical reviews of international projects and abnormal-pressure prediction research. Develops specialised software for petrophysics, geomechanics, seismic interpretation and geology with partners.
