Industrial chemistry in the oil and gas value chain
The oil and gas industry uses fuel additives, lubricant components, production chemicals, drilling and fracturing agents and water-treatment products. These technologies require formulation control, testing, stable quality and verified performance.
Successful deployment depends on the working fluid, temperature, materials compatibility and storage and transport requirements. Chemical manufacturers need to collaborate with customer process specialists and qualification facilities.
Industrial chemistry is therefore part of the Cluster’s broader oil and gas technology portfolio. KAPRON is one example of a company active in additives, lubricant components and oilfield chemicals.
Cooperation may include applied testing, adapting formulations, selecting production sites and identifying new markets. Product performance claims should only be published after verification and approval.
